On April 14–15, 2025, the Russia–Indonesia Business Forum will take place in
Jakarta, the capital of
Indonesia. The event is timed to coincide with the 13th meeting of the Russia–Indonesia Joint Commission on trade, economic, and technical cooperation.
The Forum is organized by the
Roscongress Foundation (Roscongress International brand) in cooperation with the
Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). The venue is the
Raffles Jakarta Hotel.
This event marks an important step in developing a trust-based dialogue between the business communities of both countries and coincides with several key milestones: the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Indonesia, and
Indonesia’s entry into BRICS.
The program includes a plenary session, thematic panels, and a multi-sector business mission of Russian companies supported by the
Russian Export Center (REC). Key topics: trade, export, energy, mining, logistics, digital technologies, agriculture, creative industries, tourism, education, and prospects for cooperation between the
EAEU and
ASEAN.
According to
NEGLINKA FINANCE, Indonesia is one of the most promising markets for economic cooperation. With nearly 280 million consumers, G20 membership, and an active role in ASEAN, it offers opportunities comparable to the largest regional economies.
The Forum will bring together representatives of government, business, academia, civil society, and media from Russia, Indonesia, the EAEU, and ASEAN.
"Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia and a key partner for Russia. Now is the right time to enter this market," said REC CEO Veronika Nikishina.
The Forum promises to become a landmark in the 2025 business calendar, strengthening ties between Russia and a leading Asia-Pacific player.
