The Caucasus Investment Forum has ended in Grozny, attended by about four thousand people, including heads and representatives of federal and regional authorities, businessmen, experts, journalists from leading media outlets from Russia, the CIS countries and the Caspian Five. In total, guests from 33 countries and territories took part in the forum.
The business program included more than 65 events with the participation of over 430 speakers. At CIF-2024, 100 agreements were signed for a total of 106.1 billion rubles, including seven agreements with foreign companies and authorities. And this only includes agreements whose amount was not a commercial secret. The exhibition area of CIF-2024 was more than ten thousand square meters.
The theme of СIF-2024 is “The Greater Caucasus - from sea to sea”. The central event of the CIF-2024 business program was the plenary session, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, curator of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) Alexander Novak. He noted that according to the results of last year, investment growth in the North Caucasus amounted to 17% year-on-year. This is significantly higher than the Russian average.
On the second day of the forum, the СIF-2024 was visited by Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. The Chairman of the Government, together with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, inspected the exposition in the exhibition center "Pavilion "Stroykar", which presented the stands of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, the republics of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, as well as local commercial companies. In addition, Mishustin held a meeting with members of the government commission on the development of the North Caucasus Federal District.
"The Caucasus Investment Forum is a bright, rich and productive business platform. A large number of participants speaks of its attractiveness and increased interest in the development of the economy and social infrastructure in the Caucasus. High business activity is visible. Each forum participant felt the attention and participation of the residents of Grozny and its suburbs in ensuring that the forum guests felt comfortable there,” said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the CIF Organizing Committee.
As noted by the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov, the North Caucasus is leading in terms of tourist flow growth, therefore, in response to the rapid demand, work is underway to increase the number of rooms. Under the preferential lending program, within the framework of the latest selection, hotels with 4.3 thousand rooms and a project to create infrastructure for the Dombai ski resort were supported. The construction of modular hotels with 2.3 thousand rooms was subsidized.
“Now the task of the subjects is to implement all declared projects and prepare new ones by the end of the year. The President instructed to conduct a selection of modular hotels for three years in advance this year,” Reshetnikov said.
NEGLINKA FINANCE paid special attention to the development of domestic tourism, the agro-industrial complex, transport infrastructure, various areas of industry, energy, the banking sector, international cooperation, the humanitarian agenda and other areas that ensure sustainable economic growth of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District.
"The Caucasus Investment Forum is an important international event that helps strengthen economic ties between countries and regions. All three days were busy and fruitful for the participants. The results exceeded optimistic expectations. Both the guests and the organizers of the forum were satisfied with the results. I am sincerely grateful to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the opportunity to hold the forum this year in Grozny - thanks to the CIF, a noticeable breakthrough is being made in the comprehensive development of the entire region," said the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov.
One of the highlights of the forum was the presentation of the first investment award "Vershina" to significant investment projects, outstanding companies and individuals for their contribution to economic growth and the development of the investment potential of the regions of Russia. It was organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
I would also like to note the high professionalism of the team working on the forum. Their efforts made the event not only successful, but also memorable for all participants.
